Trombonist Scott Grant holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from UNH. He has taught trombone privately for nine years in southern New Hampshire. Scott’s students have been consistently successful in the NH All-State and college auditions. From 2002 – 2007, Scott taught Trombone Studio and Intro to Jazz classes at Plymouth State University in Plymouth, NH, where he also served as PSU’s Director of Jazz Ensembles.
Scott is an active freelancer in many styles (jazz, rock, classical). He is a founding member of the Granite State Brass and New Hampshire Jazz Orchestra. He has performed at the Palace Theater in Manchester and the Ogunquit Playhouse. His current projects include the Chuck Gabriel Septet and the Gringo Kings, both of which feature original jazz and Latin compositions.
