Mike Loce is originally from the Boston area, and has been professionally networking the New England music and guitar scene since finishing college at UMass Lowell in 1994.

For four years, Mike helped run and build the online Personal Guitar School / Learn Guitar, Inc. (now called Sam Ash Music Institute) as Director of Student Support. He handled development and consultation of guitar lesson plans for students of all ages and abilities around the world, as well as answering music, gear and technical questions. For two years, Mike was an assemblyman in electronics at Parker Guitar in Wilmington, Massachusetts, and did correlative work with many departments of that factory. This position led to a greater understanding of not just the Parker brand, but electric guitar construction and repair in general.

As a professional session guitarist in and around his native Boston area since 1994, Mike has performed live with the likes of Gary Cherone (Extreme, Van Halen), members of Blue Man Group, and the Boston Rock Opera (a respected and unique fusion of rock and theatre which brings together diverse talent from the fertile Boston area music, dance, and theatre scenes.)

Mike's playing has been prolific, from regular Jazz casino cruises, area Blues clubs, solo guitar synthesizer showpiece performances, music store performances, and appearances at city rock clubs and coffeehouses. He is a member of the Boston Musician's Union and is available for recording sessions. He performs live with his instrumental guitar duo The DoubleNecks.

Now living in Merrimack, NH, Mike teaches group ensembles and private students of all ages and abilities. He believes playing with others is the most important way to experience the joy and magic of music.
